Years spent decorating, experimenting with color and getting my hands dirty with home renovations, have all led me to follow my passion and choose interior design as my profession. I have a deep appreciation for all design styles, but I'm drawn to strong use of color, rich textures, and nods to the past like vintage pieces.
The organic simplicity of Midcentury Modern, the luxury of Hollywood Glam, and the rich colors and decadence of Art Deco speak to my soul and bring me joy but I enjoy working in all design styles to meet my clients' needs.

Because life is short, it was time to pursue my creative talents. And help transform a family’s home into something beautiful and functional, all while fostering relationships with clients like I did as a PT. So, back to college I went! I received a degree from Baker College in Interior Design and opened the doors of Horizon Interior Design in 2016.
I’ve been blessed to have had two careers in my life that utilize my creativity but also my desire to connect with people and make a positive difference in their lives. I have a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, and worked as a PT for nearly two decades. While working closely with patients in their homes, I found myself intrigued by how they lived, often working with the family to rearrange spaces to make them safer and more functional.
I collaborate with my clients to discover their inner adventurous spirit, interjecting laughs along the way, with the goal being to fall in love with their home and bring on the feels!

I’m Kori, wife to Tom, Mom to Luke and Noah. "Meowma" to 3 kitties. I have a passion for dancing and for creating fun, energizing interiors that celebrate life and new beginnings. My life purpose is being a positive, supportive person for my loved ones, exploring, connecting with people and building a business that makes a difference in their lives.
I’ve adored decorating since I was young. I would rearrange furniture in my childhood home for fun, when I wasn’t designing rooms for my Barbies or creating “floor plans” with the raked leaves. My design spirit has been with me all along, and now I get to share this ingrained passion with my clients!

I’ve traveled all over the US & around world. I love exploring & meeting new people from all over.
My husband and I enjoy renovating most areas of my home, and DIY'ed a majority of it ourselves. I've done demolition, installed tile, framed rooms, drywalled, painted, installed flooring and insulation, which has been helpful when working with contractors on renovations. I've traveled all over the world for business and pleasure (Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, Costa Rica, New York, Utah, California, Florida).
Especially for High Point Designer's Market to get educated on my vendor's products and latest trends. My travels helped shape me into the eclectic designer I'm today. I love mixing old with new, and have fun with colors to create designs that have a lot of dimension.

designs that reflect my client's Personality
I had a client who had so many beautiful and unique pieces of art in her contemporary home that were created by her late husband. She wanted to update her home with modern pieces but incorporate his works of art. I was honored to design several rooms in her home that showcased these sentimental pieces. She was so happy and grateful. This experience reiterated the old adage that the Home should be the Treasure Chest of Living, and reinforced the importance of incorporating personal treasures into a design.
My favorite designs speak to the soul of my client. We create a space for them to connect to the past and feel excited for the future.
